Nice facilities. Right next to the lake powell shore with all kinds of facilities. Perfect relax stop when making the trip between Bryce Canyon and Grand Canyon. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Lake (and surroundings) view is wonderfull
Not enought chairs, tables.. Around the pool, with regard to users (but maybe was a little bit crowded?)
Hotel staff were incompetent and rude. We were checked into a room that had already been given to someone else. Staff in the restaurant were rude, as well as staff on the front desk. We checked out early and would not recommend this hotel.
I had trouble finding the resort with GPS at night. I used tomtom gps. I think the address didn't match with the gps.
Nothing. The bedroom with viewlake is a joke, poor staff/service, poor room,
The lobby was nice and simple
Was very hard to find at night. Did not like the locker room-style hand soap, shampoo, conditioner dispenser on the wall. Not sanitary touching/pushing same plastic someone else had. And is not resort luxury, but motel quality. Did not like squeeky flooring, hall and stairs. Did not have printed material available for Colorado river rafting when checking in and verbally was given wrong information which caused our whole family to miss out on the rafting experience of which we drove 6 hours one way, purchased equipment, etc.
Location is beautiful in the Lake Powell park.
Website did not mention that there is a $15.00 park entry fee to get to the hotel. I would probably have booked elsewhere if I knew. I did not alot any time to visit Lake Powell on this trip.
Fantastic setting and location
Excellent facilities but at the time we stayed the hotel was understaffed and not fully operational. This detracted from the atmosphere and the quality of the experience which had the potential of being superb. We had to eat evening meal in the bar as the full restaurant was not opening until May. The bar itself was also only partially stocked. We felt that if the hotel was open to paying guests the a full service of facilities should be available, it felt as if they were not really open and that we ought not to be staying there. When fully operational we anticipate that it would be a fab place to stay.
Hotel is good, but a bit expensive for what you get
The location of resort was a nice surprise we did not expect to be right beside the lake and in the National Park.
Beautiful pools, view, nice room.
The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were large. There was a fridge and coffee maker in the room. The made to order breakfast omelet was good.
Our pre-booked lakeview rooms had been given away when we arrived (6pm) so we had to have car park view rooms. Accommodation was in old fashioned blocks with dated decor and smelly corridors. There was a considerable walk to reception where the staff were less than helpful and inevitably you had to join a long queue. Lots of coach parties, Limited dining options and of those available - the Rainbow restaurant food we ordered was inedible. The plated up food had clearly been sat there all night and arrived under sweating plastic domes, achieving the unique effect of being both dried up and soggy at the same time. (All our main courses went back and the appetisers didn't ever arrive). Somehow my card managed to have the tip taken off twice as well....hmmmm. We checked out early. Summary - souless & poor quality. Avoid!
Staff not very helpful. They wouldn´t even let you speak or finish what you wanted to ask / explain. Bartenders at the restaurant not very friendly
Lovely hotel spacious room very clean. Right on shore of lake with two pools. Good food and lots to do around you.
The view on the lake is unbeatable. Rooms are comfortable. I appreciated Starbuck coffee in the room .
Staff at reception was not quite friendly and does not treat you personally. I stayed over 3 nights and on the second day the room had not been cleaned at 7pm : no single excuse received from the reception staff. I had booked a traditionnal room, whose view was facing car parks. Though I had especially booked this hotel for the lake view. This important detail was not specified at the time of booking. Also, no special price is given to the residents of the hotel for cruises on the lake, although Lake Powel hotel and cruises belong to the same company.
